Job Description: It is the duty of the VSO to assist residents of Alamosa County who have served honorably in the armed services of the United States of America or qualifying dependent, by filing claims for insurance, pensions, disability, hospitalization, vocational training, or any other benefits that the veteran might be entitled to receive. Must work in cooperation with the Division of Veterans Affairs to provide services for Alamosa County Veterans. Must be able to research and write grants. Must be a resident of the State of Colorado. Must have served and honorably discharged from active duty from a branch of the United States of America armed services. Must have a High School or College diploma. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Salary is $18.00 per hour working 20 hours per week. Open until filled.
