Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Oversees all employee payroll, benefits, training programs, and other services for the County.
  • Receives, processes, and screens employment applications.
  • Manages policies, rules, and regulations affecting employment and employees.
  • Assists County employees with questions regarding employment, retirement/compensation plans, etc.

CCOERA administers a 401(a) a Retirement Savings Plan that allows employees to set aside pre-tax money for retirement. The county plan requires employees to contribute 4% of their compensation and matches 4% after 6 months of employment. Employees have the right to self-direct the investment into several different types of funds.

CTSI manages the County Health Pool (CHP), the only county-owned health plan provider in Colorado with benefits, contribution rates, and coverages determined by representatives from member counties. CHP's commitment to cost control, well-designed benefit programs, and efficient claims administration makes CHP the best choice for county and other public entity employee health benefits.

Job Description: Greets the public at the front desk, sets appointments, answer multi-line phone system, files, processes all mail, and data entry.  Strong computer skills a must.  High School Diploma or GED required.  2 years of experience in an office setting preferred.  Bi-lingual skills are highly desirable.   $15 per hour. 37.5 Hours/Week.

Job Description: Alamosa County is a seeking full time COVID Response and Recovery Coordinator to join Public Health. This grant funded position works to achieve recovery from the COVID pandemic. This position coordinates COVID-19 case investigation and works regularly to create, compile and share resources between public health staff, ACPHD and community-based organizations.

Job Description: Alamosa County is seeking full time, part time, and contract Contact Tracers/Contact Investigators to join our team. This position will contact individuals with positive diagnosis of COVID-19 and follow protocols to collect information and guidance on recommended isolation.
