Human Resources Responsibilities
- Oversees all employee payroll, benefits, training programs, and other services for the County.
- Receives, processes, and screens employment applications.
- Manages policies, rules, and regulations affecting employment and employees.
- Assists County employees with questions regarding employment, retirement/compensation plans, etc.
CCOERA administers a 401(a) a Retirement Savings Plan that allows employees to set aside pre-tax money for retirement. The county plan requires employees to contribute 4% of their compensation and matches 4% after 6 months of employment. Employees have the right to self-direct the investment into several different types of funds.
CTSI manages the County Health Pool (CHP), the only county-owned health plan provider in Colorado with benefits, contribution rates, and coverages determined by representatives from member counties.
