Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Oversees all employee payroll, benefits, training programs, and other services for the County.
  • Receives, processes, and screens employment applications.
  • Manages policies, rules, and regulations affecting employment and employees.
  • Assists County employees with questions regarding employment, retirement/compensation plans, etc.

CCOERA administers a 401(a) a Retirement Savings Plan that allows employees to set aside pre-tax money for retirement. The county plan requires employees to contribute 4% of their compensation and matches 4% after 6 months of employment. Employees have the right to self-direct the investment into several different types of funds.

CTSI manages the County Health Pool (CHP), the only county-owned health plan provider in Colorado with benefits, contribution rates, and coverages determined by representatives from member counties. CHP's commitment to cost control, well-designed benefit programs, and efficient claims administration makes CHP the best choice for county and other public entity employee health benefits.

Job Description: Must be able to drive a Semi, operate and maintain trucks to transport materials and operate other heavy equipment used in the maintenance of county roads.  Must be able to perform physical labor as needed.  Must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record, with three years of experience preferred. Job Description: Performs environmental health inspections and investigations as required by state and local laws, rules, and regulations. Provides environmental health consultation and upholds a strong sense of customer service in all working operations. Inform, educate, and train the public on Environmental Health issues and compliance.

Job Description: Conducts primarily lengthy complex criminal investigations, i.e. homicide, arson, serious assaults, child abuse, and other felonies. Investigations include; interviews of suspects, witnesses, and victims. Searches for evidence of criminal acts. Writes comprehensive and detailed reports of findings and actions.
