Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Oversees all employee payroll, benefits, training programs, and other services for the County.
  • Receives, processes, and screens employment applications.
  • Manages policies, rules, and regulations affecting employment and employees.
  • Assists County employees with questions regarding employment, retirement/compensation plans, etc.

CTSI manages the County Health Pool (CHP), the only county-owned health plan provider in Colorado with benefits, contribution rates, and coverages determined by representatives from member counties. CHP's commitment to cost control, well designed benefit programs, and efficient claims administration makes CHP the best choice for county and other public entity employee health benefits.

CCOERA administers a 401(a), a Retirement Savings Plan that allows employees to set aside pre-tax money for retirement. The County plan requires employees to contribute 4% of their compensation and the County matches 4% after one year of employment. Employees have the right to self-direct the investment into several different types of funds.
